We've lifted the phrase, with respect, from a Cat Power song because we like the ambiguous tone it sets. But the Nude as the News site is about our passion for music and our desire to let people know what we think.
We're not owned or paid by anyone; we created the site for its own sake. The founders and the majority of the contributors are recently out of college, working day jobs. But we all still feel the urge to be creative with a freedom we can't get from someone who's paying us. Nude As The News provides us a forum for our creative impulses, as well as a great excuse to go to a lot of concerts and go record shopping all the time.
It's hard to nail down our exact tastes. We focus mostly on the current state
of rock music with an ear on its history, and we respect most artists
whose efforts support the evolution of music.
So stay a while and enjoy. And if Chan tells
you what
the
name
means, let us know.
